Jesuit Fr. Larry Gillick is a nationally known retreat director whose reflections appear on the Creighton University Web site. His first name was not correct in the article “Following in the footsteps of Ignatius,” published in the April 13 issue of NCR.

In 1981, Pope John Paul II suspended the rules of the Jesuit order to prevent the Jesuits from electing a successor to Pedro Arrupe as head of the order. Arrupe was not, however, deposed. A story in the April 27 issue stated otherwise.
