CAMPUS MINISTRY

CATHOLIC CAMPUS MINISTER, Pittsburgh-Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit, Pittsburgh, PA, seeks full-time Catholic campus minister to assist in the integration of the Spiritan charisma and mission throughout the University community. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a ministry style in the spirit of Vatican II and the ability to participate in a dynamic, collaborative style of ministry within the context of an ethnically and religiously diverse University community. CANTORS

CANTORS -- seeking cantors to be part of our music ministry and lead the assembly in their sung prayer. Not looking for soloists. Job entails rotating 4 weekend liturgies with other cantors and serving choir section leaders at principal masses of the church. Expertise with standard hymnody is a must. Familiarity with traditional and contemporary hymnody, as well as Gregorian chant. Good sight-reading skills and prior cantor experience a plus, but we are willing to train the right individuals. DIRECTOR

DIRECTOR -- Catholic Theological Union, (CTU) seeks a Director for its Paul Bechtold Library. CTU is the largest Catholic graduate school of theology and ministry in the United States with a diverse and international student body and a variety of academic and pastoral programs at the masters and doctoral (D.Min.) level. Its Bechtold Library houses approximately 150,000 volumes, mainly in theology and related fields, and has a significant degree of computerization. The library has active collaborative relationships with the Association of Chicago Theological Schools libraries, the Chicago Area Theological Library Association, the Chicago Library System, and the College and Research Libraries of Illinois (formally ILSCO). The Director reports to the Vice President and Academic Dean and is responsible for the overall administration of the library and its staff. The Director works with the administration and faculty in the strategic development of the library’s collection and maintains the library as an integral teaching component of the school and its curriculum. The director also represents the interests of the library and the school to its various publics and collaborating institutions. The Director holds faculty status and works closely with other departments and with the faculty. Qualifications: Must have a degree in library science and experience in library administration; comfortable in the environment of a Catholic graduate school of theology; able to work collaboratively with faculty and staff; conversant with all facets of library information technology; able to think strategically about the development of the library and its services.
